We have received absolutely incredible support from magazines, blogs, and online streetwear sites covering our Spring / Summer 2012 release. The line has hit retailers around the country, is available at our online shop, and is moving unbelievably fast. Check out some of the support around the web below, and if possible…stay cool out there.
We recently added a new retailer, coming all the way from beautiful Omaha, River City Social Club. This shop, which stocks limited edition t-shirts, caps, and footwear; is absolutely gorgeous. The interior is completely custom, all of the fixtures are beautifully put together, and everybody at the River City Social Club team did an incredible job. Once in a while a place that really knocks your socks off comes along…really take away the spotlight. Well…now, it’s shining on RCSC.
Last week, I had the chance to speak with Moh Habib, the owner of Studiiyo23, a clothing & sneakers shop taking over Minneapolis. Studiiyo23, which is quickly becoming a staple for everything cool: Fashion, Art, Culture, Music, and Sneakers – is the destination for the fashion-conscious consumer in Minneapolis.
I asked Moh a few questions, giving us a look-into his store and everything surrounding its creation. After the jump is the interview, photos of the shop, and information on how you can join the movement!
We are proud to announce that Soletron is now an official online stockist of Check Your Six. Since its inception just last year, Soletron is already making big waves. Last week, the guys with the site were gracious enough to run a brand feature on Check Your Six, asking me questions that ranged from the story behind our brand to tricks of the streetwear trade. Follow the link to check out the full interview, peruse some of the Check Your Six digs, and give them a shout out! Let them know who sent you.
Last week, I had a chance to infiltrate the art studios of Garrett Perry, a Minneapolis-based artist. As I milled around his studios, breaking fiddling with nick-knacks and doing my best to capture the environment that I was surrounded by, I pitched Garrett some questions regarding his art, his life, and everything in between. Which…as it turns out, is a whole lot of fun. Check out the interview after the jump.
The release of the new Fall gear is now in full swing. Thank you to everybody who has purchased some gear, dropped us compliments (or hate mail), and stopped by the site to check out the new flicks! I’ve been so busy putting together packages and responding to emails that I’ve even had to jump back on the coffee bandwagon. I told myself I’d never do it.
Our good friends from across the Atlantic, FRONT (you remember them), featured our Bourbon tee in a new feature entitled ’121 Tees of Summer’. Thanks again mates!
Check out the new Mac Lethal video, Raise the Dead, released just last week. Mac is rocking our Special Blend tee from our Fall 2011 release, which is cool because…well…because he’s Mac Lethal. But it’s more cool because I’ve been listening to Mac Lethal since high school. I remember playing Mac Lethal on blast while working at Zumiez (I know, I know) back in the day. Until we got some complaints that the music being played was too explicit. I didn’t see the big deal. I still don’t.
