We’re back in our native land for the week, creating whatever havoc we can get our hands on in the great state of 10,000 lakes. Forgot the camera while making rounds today, so here’s just a few shots from our excursions yesterday at VS. Have I mentioned our release party April 16th at VS? I will…
We were so hyped to have this video sent to us today. I mean…Wiz Khalifa rocking Check Your Six? Get real! I was able to see him live in Madison, this is Wiz live at SXSW. Gotta say too…the crew is a good look. Bigs up to Wiz!
James and I spent the better half of today just outside of Chicago, touring an amazing apparel and textile design production facility. We talked about how we were going to approach our next release, what kind of expansion we were hoping to do, and how all of it is going to work in a sensible way. For any “t-shirt brand,” the natural next step is more advanced production, and more developed garments. Patches, embroidery, appliques…the works. It was great for us to be able to get a first hand look at behind-the-scenes production, and even more exciting to start to piece together what is in our heads with what will soon enough become a reality. So here’s a few shots from our excursions throughout today, tomorrow we’ll be heading back to the land of the ice & snow land of the melted snow.
I hope everybody notices the repetition in James’ choice of outfits…fake Red Bull hat, fake Red Wings, and (by now) pretty funky flannel long-sleeve. Class act.
Last time I put up videos of my latest jams, one of them included the always entertaining Horses in the Ghetto music video. Well, earlier today Prof & company released another awesomely entertaining video, Animal. This is the single to Prof’s latest release, Kaiser Von Powderhorn. Check Your Six is all over the video, with our Harvest Trees crewneck and Minnesnowta tee making cameo appearances. Enjoy the video, and everybody stay tuned for new releases from Prof, they come often…and they come hard!
Last week we were extremely pleased to announce that our new Spring shipment would be available on Digital Gravel. For those who don’t know, Digital Gravel has been one of the most prominent, respected, exclusive online retailers of streetwear for about as long as streetwear’s been alive. In other words, the site that we’ve been hoping to work with since we first started Check Your Six. So when we received word that our new Spring stuff was exactly what they wanted to see on their site, you could imagine our excitement. Thanks to everybody at Digital Gravel for supporting our upcoming brand, and to everybody who is in need of a place to find all of their clothing needs…you’ve found a home.
So a while back we mentioned that we’d be having a video to accompany our most recent lookbook release. After a few technical difficulties, we’ve finally got the behind the scenes look at what millions are calling, “the lookbook to end all lookbooks”. Well, maybe not millions. Hopefully the video will portray how much fun we had that day. Behind the final cut of 24 photographs was an entire day of good, semi-wholesome fun. And frankly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
We got some more love for our Spring Lookbook from the guys over at The Freshstock.
The site gets updated daily, and it’s a great spot to swoop through and get your recent streetwear news. It’s awesome too because they started operating their site not much longer after we developed Check Your Six, so we’ve gotten to watch them grow just as they’ve gotten to see us. Long live the underground!
